At Benihana, our hooded Teppanyaki tables and robust make-up air continuously improve the air quality with fresh air circulating approximately 30 times per hour. By comparison, a typical restaurant circulates approximately only 8 times per hour.

Our restaurants are going above and beyond the local requirements to ensure your health and safety:

  • Providing guests with sanitized menus
  • Continuous cleaning and sanitization practices in place throughout the restaurant including tables, chairs, doors, check presenters, waiting area and restrooms
  • Providing hand sanitizer to all guests and employees
  • Face coverings are optional for guests and employees in accordance with CDC guidelines

Benihana is currently sourcing more than 15% of our cage-free eggs and we are committed to 100% cage-free eggs by 2025.

Benihana is a strong supporter and advocate of animal welfare and continues to work toward sourcing chicken certified by the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) requiring all chickens be processed in a multi-step, controlled atmosphere system.

Our supplier requires annual processing and production facility audits by both internal and third-party auditors who are certified by the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Program.

While our implementation goal is 2024, we recognize the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in massive disruptions to our supply chain and may cause a delay with our supplier.
